Thoughts of Home

This is a card that I did for the Heroes that are deployed.  It is a simple card but I think it is very effective.

 Recipe
ingredients
  • Certainly Celery  card stock #105125 Cut 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2" to make a vertical card.
  • Very Vanilla card stock #101650 cut 3 3/4" x 5"
  • Certainly Celery Classic ink pad #105217
  • Chocolate Chip Classic ink pad #100908
  • 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain ribbon in Chocolate Chip #115617 about 5 1/2"
  • Word Window punch #105090
  • Three Little Words stamp set #113254
  • Whimsical Words stamp set #118386 for wood mounted and #119119 for clear mount
  • Good Neighbors stamp set #118378 for wood mounted and #119116 for clear mount
  • tool kit ( snail adhesive, bone folder)
Instructions:
  •  Punch the Word Window out of the bottom right of the Very Vanilla. Place it down for placement and stamp "I miss you" in Certainly Celery on the Certainly Celery card stock.
  • Stamp "Your never more than a thought away" in the top right of the Very Vanilla in Certainly Celery.
  • Stamp the house and tree about 1/3 of the way up the card using the Certainly Celery and Chocolate Chip inks.  Make sure you leave room between the word window and the house for your ribbon.
  • Adhere your ribbon with the snail adhesive and tuck the edges around to the back.
  • Glue the Very Vanilla to the Certainly Celery.
I encourage all of you to create some cards to send to Operation Write Home.  They get these cards to the Heroes serving in the wars so those Heros can use them to write home to loved ones.  Many of the Heroes only have unlined printer paper or email to send to their family.  These cards mean the world to them and their families.  There is a link at the top right of my page to their website for more information.

As always all of these products are available for purchase through my website or through me.  Thank you and have a blessed day.
